On 14^th & 15^th January 2017, JAPANESE FESTIVAL – TOKYU GROUP at Binh Duong New City was held in hikari.

The festival was lively and crowded with stalls such as takoyaki (a ball-shaped Japanese snack), yakisoba (Japanese stir-flied noodles), smoked sausage, juice, etc… Moreover, with “New Year cuisines contest” the visitors tasted so many dishes from many countries such as Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, USA, Germany and Ukraina.

Besides, booth games of Yoyo fishing (Japanese festival game of fishing balloons), quoits, etc,… and the Japanese Culture corner of Japanese Calligraphy, Kendama, Otedama (a traditional game on New Year day) attracted lot of attention.

The performances on the main stage with Japanese bands (“hem hem”, “LCL”, niji),  students of Eastern International University, Vietnam Germany University, Youth Union of Binh Duong, Sasuke Club; and “Mochitsuki (rice cake pounding)”, “Daruma Otoshi (stacked Daruma game)”, “Lucky draw” has led to the festival atmosphere come alive and enthusiastic.

The Festival save local people and visitors the chance to explore and enjoy Japanese culture.

This year’s festival attracted more than 10,000 people. Tokyu Group, Becamex Tokyu (as a company of Tokyu Group) will continue to maintain and organize the festival as one of the features of Binh Duong New City, to create playing environment that people feel “love living in Binh Duong, and living in Binh Duong is really worth”.
