Inauguration of South Binh Duong waste treatment complex area in Binh Duong province

On 20th September 2013, in Ben Cat District, Binh Duong province, Binh Duong Water supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE) held the Inauguration ceremony of South Binh Duong waste treatment complex with the total area of 74 hectares.

Total investment capital for Phase I of the project is 480 billion Vietnam dong, including 184 billion VNĐ sponsored from the Finland Government and 196 billion VNĐ from Vietnam Government. All technologies is the latest advanced technology of Europe.

10,000 companies have been active in Binh Duong province currently, so that the demand for industrial waste collection has been increasing rapidly. The plant receives average 700 tons of household waste, and over 100 tons of industrial waste per day.

Phase II is scheduled to run for 2 years from 2013 to 2014 , with a capital of 8.1 million euros (around 225 bilion Vietnam dong), included 5.6 million euros of ODA loans from the Finland Government and 2.5 million from Vietnam’s counterpart fund.
